Thanks for supporting Insulindependence. I am racing for anyone who needs inspiration to take that first step toward a healthier life, and to thank my friend Dave for pushing me to take that step myself years ago. I never thought I would ever run a half marathon, and here I am thinking about doing my first triathlon in the near future... Every step I run is a step away from diabetes. I am grateful for whatever support you can offer – even $1 makes a difference!

Funds raised on behalf of Insulindependence will benefit our efforts to bring hope, health, and happiness to people with diabetes through inspiration, education, and exploration.

My first half marathon, January 2008. The upcoming Carlsbad half marathon will be my 5th, and I am shooting to break two hours.
