Hi everyone –
Welcome to my fundraising page.
This fall, I've teamed up with ING to spread a positive message about youth running and fitness. In fact, I believe in it so much that I’ve decided to run the ING New York City Marathon!
In addition to my training, from now up until race day I’ll also be raising money to help out the ING Run for Something Better campaign. This is a fantastic program that provides money for school-based running and fitness programs across the country. The idea is to get young kids excited about exercise, fitness and leading healthy lifestyles.
Growing up as a hockey player, I learned the value of maintaining a healthy lifestyle. This included training, exercising and proper nutrition. Today, this is still very important to me, especially as I pursue my current passions – running and competing in triathlons.
So here’s my challenge to you: come join me in the cause. You can do this by making a donation to support me run. All the money I raise will go directly to the ING Run For Something Better campaign. Additionally, each person who contributes $10 or more can get a pair of orange shoelaces to show they support kid’s fitness -- like the ones I'll be wearing on marathon day.
You can learn more about the program by checking out the website at www.orangelaces.com. Thanks again for your help!
