Hi everyone –
Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.
On November 1, I’ll be running my first ING New York City Marathon. That’s right – I’m hanging up my speed skates to trek 26.2 miles through the great city of New York!
Even better – I’m doing it for a great cause.
The ING Run for Something Better is a terrific program that’s connected to ING's marathon sponsorships. The campaign provides funding for youth running programs across the country and encourages kids to get a healthier start to life through fitness. We all know that childhood obesity is a leading health concern in the U.S. today. That’s why I’m happy to see a company like ING making a difference.
By making a donation to support me in the race, you can join the cause, too. All the money I raise will go directly to the ING Run For Something Better campaign. And each person who donates $10 or more can get a pair of orange shoelaces like the ones I’ll be wearing on race day.
As an Olympic speed skater, I learned early in life about the benefits of running and physical fitness. Now I want to help ING spread this positive message.
To learn more about the program, please check out the website at www.orangelaces.com. There’s a lot of interesting information about what ING has accomplished. They can do even more with your support.
Thanks again for stopping by. I’ve gotta run now – I need to get back to my training!
