I'm riding in memory of my grandfather who passed away from lung cancer a few years ago. He was the one who always knew how to make someone laugh, he showed me how to appreciate the little things in life, the one who walked me to and from grade school - he's my hero. When he was first diagnosed with cancer, he was told he only had a year left to live, but it was his hope, strength, and willpower that helped him battle cancer for three more years after. I want to be able to foster the same sense of hope and even more in families and friends who are affected by cancer because I believe that as long as there is hope, anything is possible. If we all work towards raising awareness, then we're one step closer.
