 Welcome to Hope Strides, The Rich Cronin Hope Foundation's annual nation-wide walk to defeat Leukemia.
From June 10, 2007 through October 10, 2007, individuals and teams across the United States will take strides to raise funds which will continue to grow the national bone marrow registry. Each pledging (either individually or collectively as a team) to walk 100 miles over the 120 day period, the Hope Foundation hopes to have enough strides to represent walking across the United States and raise enough funds to continue the MARROW FOR LIFE mission for another year.
In May of 2005, the Rich Cronin Hope Foundation began hosting bone marrow registry drives as an effort to provide the potential of more life saving matches for patients with leukemia and other blood disorders. The pledge was to facilitate the registration of 500 individuals by hosting the drives and funding the tissue typing costs associated with becoming a volunteer donor. Because of the selflessness of our supporters as well as the financial
support, we were albe to provide almost three times the goal.
The true proof of the mission's impact came when the Foundation was notified that matches were being found from our registrations. So far, there have been nine. Clearly, this is the mission we were meant to fulfill.
Please register as a fund-raiser and help us win THE GOOD FIGHT once and for all. Here's what you do...
Create a fundraising page for yourself or your team. Customize it with your graphics and text (or use ours). Explain that you will be walking to defeat leukemia so nobody loses THE GOOD FIGHT ever again.
Set a goal for the amount of funds you'd like to raise. Remember, every dollar means more registrations!
Send out emails to your friends and family asking them to go to your page and support your effort. Ask them to pledge a dollar amount per mile, or make a donation in support of you or your team. They can do this right on line.
WALK!
Every dollar raised through HOPE STRIDES will add names to the national marrow registry. The Rich Cronin Hope Foundation is non-profit in every sense. There are no salaries paid and all materials are donated. Every penny for every mile will provide the potential to save lives. It really is that simple.
