| WELCOME to the TEAM JACK FUNDRAISING PAGE!
Jack is one child in 200,000 battling a rare blood disease called Langerhan's Cell Histiocytosis.
Ten days after his 2nd birthday, Jack was diagnosed with LCH. Jack is currently 4 1/2 years old and has been through more medical procedures than most will undergo in their lifetime.
Jack completed one year of chemotherapy in August of 2006, only to have the LCH reactivate 8 months later. He is currently undergoing his second course of chemotherapy.
PLEASE - Show your support for Jack and all the other Histio Heroes by donating to TEAM JACK! Your donation will help us win the race to cure histiocytosis. |

On September 16, 2007, I will be participating in the 1st annual Histio Heroes 5K Run to benefit the Histiocytosis Association of America (HAA) along the Fox River Trail in Batavia. Histiocytosis is a rare blood disease that can be deadly or cause life-long disabilities. Patients are often treated with chemotherapy, radiation and bone marrow transplant. This disease affects all races and ages, but is especially prevalent in children under 10 years old. Because histiocytosis is so rare, it receives virtually no government funding for research. The HAA receives most of its money from events such as this one, started by family and friends of those affected by the disease. Please help me fight histocytosis by making a donation today! |
