Hiking for a Cure

Welcome to my Hike for Discovery home page!
Hike For Discovery is The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's adventure fundraising program that prepares people to experience the majesty of the Grand Canyon in much more depth than most of its visitors will ever experience.
I'll be hiking in the Grand Canyon on May 19, 2008. I've taken on this challenge to raise funds to help the Society cure leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma. More than 712,000 Americans are battling these blood cancers. Your support of my participation in Hike For Discovery will help bring them hope.
When talking about this endeavor, it's easy to get caught up in facts and statistics, but the reality is so much more than any numbers can convey. I'm hiking for the people in my life who are waging daily battles against these cancers, for those friends and family who are survivors, and for the friends who didn't survive. I'm hiking especially for my dad, whose cancer treatment started in April. Please consider supporting me in this effort. If you'd like to donate by check, or want more information, please email me - clairamcdevitt@hotmail.com. Thanks so much!
