Update - April 21/2008
A big shout-out to everyone who helped us reach the fundraising minimum. If you haven't received one already, a contributor's bracelet is on its way to you.
There are still two months left in the campaign, so if you haven't yet donated, there is plenty of time. Our new goal is to double the fundraising minimum, raising a total of $6400. You can help!
Training is going well, and I want you to know that I'm earning your support by tackling the most extreme hike offered - the Halfdome summit. If you'd like to send me positive vibrations on the big day, it's Sunday, June 22.
Again, thanks very much!

Thank you so much for your continued support of our fundraising campaign for research in the battle against blood cancers.
If you're new to this campaign, thank you for visiting! Let me catch you up a little.
In the spring of 2005, my beautiful sister Brenda was diagnosed with leukemia. In August of the same year, I was fortunate enough to serve as her stem-cell donor, a remarkable and successful process made possible by blood cancer research. We're coming up on our third anniversary of the stem-cell donation and Brenda remains healthy and cancer-free.
While connected to the lifesaving apheresis machine, I promised myself I'd do what I could to join the fight against leukemia.
Over the past two years and three campaigns, you and people like you have supported our campaign by donating over $20,000 to blood cancer research. The beginning of 2008 sees the start of our fourth campaign.
Hike For Discovery is The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's adventure fundraising program. We hike once a week for 18 weeks, leading up to weekend event at one of America's premier hiking destinations. Past events have been held at the Grand Canyon, Rocky Mountain National Park and Kauai's Napali Coast. This year we're training to hike Yosemite's Half Dome.
While I'm training, I'm raising funds to help the Society cure leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma. More than 712,000 Americans are battling these blood cancers. Your support of my participation in Hike For Discovery will help bring them hope.
Please make a donation to support my participation in Hike for Discovery and help advance the Society's mission. I hope you'll visit my web site often, so that you can see how my training and fundraising efforts are going. Be sure to check back frequently to see my progress.
Thank you!
