"Hike For Discovery" is The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's nonprofit endurance training program that prepares people to experience a natural wonder in a special way. Our event will be a challenging hike into the Grand Canyon June 3rd.
I am hiking in memory of my friend Rodney Ramick, who loved the outdoors and was one of the greatest bass fisherman that ever lived. His courage and determination in life was an inspiration to all of us who knew and admired him. Rodney would appreciate my efforts to accomplish something so challenging and adventurous as I know this hike will be.
This is where, I'm hoping you come in. Though I can do the training, I need your help to reach my fundraising goal of $3,700.00. Every dollar you donate is tax deductible, a portion of it goes directly toward reasearch. The money I raise will pay for support groups, educational programs, and financial planning for afflicted families. The efforts are critical, because blood cancers kill more children in the United States than any other cancer and strike even more adults.
