Hike For Discovery is The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's adventure fundraising program that prepares people to experience a natural wonder in a special way.
We visited the Grand Canyon in 2002 and thought what an adventure it would be to later hike into the canyon. We since decided to make our anniversaries of beating Hodgkins Disease a milestone. This year marks 20 years for Anne and 17 for Ed. We hope to give something back and do something for the people currently fighting blood cancers. With the help of our support groups of friends and family, we would like to raise money to help find a cure for these diseases so others will never have to go through the chemotherapy and radiation treatments we did. We would like to celebrate our success in our battles against Hodgkins Disease and share that commitment to helping find a cure with our friends and families.
While we are training for the June hike, we are raising funds to help the Society cure leukemia, lymphoma (Hodgkins Disease) and myeloma. More than 712,000 Americans are battling these blood cancers. Your support of our participation in Hike For Discovery will help bring them hope and support.
