Hi. Welcome to my Hike for Discovery home page.
Hike for Discovery is a Leukemia and Lymphoma Society program. I raise money to help find a cure for these cancers while training for a big hike at the Grand Canyon in September.
More than 712,000 Americans are battling these blood cancers. Your support of my participation in Hike For Discovery will help bring them hope and support.
I'm also walking in memory of Casey Kane, a college friend who died three years ago from complications from Hodgkin's disease. Casey was a journalism student and one of my fellow Collegian writers. After I graduated, she went on to be sports editor and eventually succeeded me as editor in chief.
