| Walk for Elmer Minnich Fundraising Page |
|
| Elmer Minnich was the oldest living person with hemophilia in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. He was a talented artist and graced Lancaster with many of his creations. On days when he was confined to his wheelchair, he would pick up his guitar and harmonica and grace the family with his music. We lost him in 1983 after he succumbed to an illness received from his medication. We have not lost his spirit. He was my "Pappy" and I work hard for him and others in the community every day through my position in the Education Department at the National Hemophilia Foundation. I am joining my family; Elmer's children, grand and great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and admirers who have relocated to North Carolina, to join hands and hearts in a 'walk to remember.' We will be raising money for education, research, and advocacy at the National and local level. |
