| Hemophilia Walk 2008 (North Carolina) |
|
Hemophilia of North Carolina (HNC) is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization which has been assisting the bleeding disorders community in the state for over 30 years. HNC supports families and individuals through ongoing educational programs, peer support groups, patient advocacy, emergency financial assistance, scholarships and assistance for summer camps for our children. Our goal is to promote opportunities for improving the quality of life for persons with hemophilia and all bleeding disorders. We had our Walk this past Saturday, October 18th at Lake Crabtree County Park in Morrisville. It was a great day with lots of fun activities, great food and hundreds of walkers. We would like to thank everyone who joined us to walk for the day, the army of volunteers who made it run so smooth, our vendors & sponsors for their terrific support and all of the wonderful people who donated to help make a difference! We met our goal of $50,000 and had quite a few donations turned in at the Walk so we are still tallying the total raised. The web site will remain open for anyone who might have received late donations or those who may still be interested in helping improve the lives of thousands of people affected by bleeding and clotting disorders. Remember that every step & dollar you raised made a difference in someone’s life! A very sincere thank you for all the wonderful support! |
