 Since 1991, Central Dallas Ministries' Community Health Services (CHS) program has been providing healthcare services to the low-income, uninsured families of Dallas. Thanks to the suppot of people like you, CHS has achieved incredible growth in recent years. Providing 3,753 patient contacts in 2003, CHS hosted over 20,000 contacts in 2006 with patients who would not otherwise have received care.
CHS' services include:
- Medical
- Dental
- Class-D Pharmacy
- Diabetes education
- Care coordination
These services provide an incredible return to the community. Not only do they help individuals to stay healthier and families to be stronger, but they save our community thousands of dollars in avoided costs of emergency medical care.
In fact, our partners at the Health Texas Provider Network determined that we save nearby Baylor University Medical Center over $203 for every patient that we see due to decreased utilization of their emergency department.
