Chains Cause Pain |
|
|
The
Coalition to Unchain Dogs is a non-profit, volunteer effort dedicated
to improving
the welfare of dogs living outdoors on chains in and around Durham,
North Carolina.
Our
three-tiered mission:
- Raise
money and build fences for chained dogs in the community
- Provide support to and educate the community as to why chaining is cruel and dangerous and raise awareness of the physical, mental and emotional needs of dogs
- Advocate
for the passing of laws that disallow or severely restrict the chaining
of dogs
How your donation will be used:
$5 will buy tennis balls and chew doys for a dog who has never known how to play.
$10 will buy heavy-duty food and water bowls that won't spill or tip over.
$25 provides hay and straw to keep 5 dogs warm on a cold winter night.
$50 will purchase a dog house so that an unchained dog can stay warm and dry.
$100 will allow us to rid 10 dogs of worms and parasites or to treat 1 dog for Parvo.
$266 provides us with the fencing materials we need to free 1 dog from a chain.
