The Great Aloha Run is Ke Kukini Me Ke Aloha Pau’ole, the Race with Compassionate Love. Since 1985, the Great Aloha Run has given $6.8 million to over 100 non-profit and community organizations in Hawaii. GAR charities provide valuable services to Hawaii children and youth and their families and include organizations such as Catholic Charities Hawaii, Multiple Sclerosis Society, MWR programs, the Hawaii High School Athletic Association, United Cerebral Palsy Association, Variety School of Hawaii, Adult Friends for Youth, DARE, Girl Scout Council, Hawaii Services on Deafness, Leeward Special Olympics, the YMCA and many more.
Put more aloha into your Great Aloha Run by becoming a GAR Hero. A GAR Hero raises additional funds to support Hawaii charities by collecting sponsorships for each mile you walk or run on Race Day.
Getting started is easy. Click on “Become A Fundraiser” tab above, and set up your own Fundraising Web Page. Invite your family, friends and colleagues to make a donation to the Great Aloha Run for each mile you walk or run, or for just completing the 8.15 mile course!
A GAR Hero can also make an on-line donation right now. If each Great Aloha Run participant collects just $100 in donations, we could raise an additional $2 million for Hawaii’s charities each year.
