| Brian Vulgaris: "Got the Nerve Triathlon" Fundraising Page |
|
| The person you see in the photo above is Chris Kaag. While serving in the Marine Corps several years ago, Chris was diagnosed with a degenerative nerve disease called Adrenomyeloneuropathy(AMN). Chris started and organized the “Got the Nerve” Triathlon four years ago to raise awareness and money for The Myelin Project, an organization that aims to help millions of people regain their ability to walk.
On May 26, 2007, I will be competing in this event not only to raise money for the Mylen Project, but as a tribute and out of respect to Chris for his tremendous positive outlook on life. Having met Chris, I can tell you that he has no excuses…..words like “can’t”, “impossible”, “quit”, and “fail” do not exist in his vocabulary. Instead, he chooses to live by the creed that all Marines are taught, IMPROVISE, ADAPT, OVERCOME.
I'm asking for your support by making a contribution below.
I’ll even make a deal with you. For every $5 increment that you pledge, you will earn 1 “lottery chance” (if you pledge$5, you get 1 chance….pledge$25, you get 5 chances, etc). I'll put all of the lottery chances together, will pull 1 name, and will buy the lucky winner a $25 gift certificate to the restaurant of his/her choice.
