I decide I want to check a marathon off my bucket list.
As many of you know, I have one of the best knee in town! I don’t think running 26.2 miles in one race would be the best…. BUT I have a idea! With my elementary teacher brain, don't two halves make a whole? Why not! I was crazy and ran the Warrior Challenge (1k, 5k and a half marathon) in Maui, Hawaii in September and I decide why not run the Corvallis Half in April!
I want to accomplish this race for not only me but to support Girls on the Run! I currently work for this organization and have a huge passion for the program! I am running as a SoleMate which will help benefit Girls on the Run with buying shoes, scholarships, coaches boxes and much more! I will also be coaching a team of these lovely ladies in hope to make a difference!
As you all know, when I am told I can’t, that gives me the motivation to prove them wrong. I am not someone to sit on the sidelines and have the drive to go out there and make a difference. With blessing from my surgeon to run the Corvallis Half, I am going to check #47 off my bucket list and I need your help!
A few dollars makes a difference so help me raise money for not only Girls on the Run but giving me motivation for this lovely race that my body will love me after.
I love you all and thank you for your support even if you think I’m crazy! Join me April 15th as I complete this race! And Yes Mom and Dad, I promise to wear my brace! |
