Independent Animal Rescue is a non-profit, 100% volunteer, companion animal rescue saving the lives of animals in the Triangle Region of North Carolina. We are very excited to share that last year alone we were able to save 638 dogs, cats, kittens and puppies! We also understand that the answer to ending the pet overpopulation crisis is to promote spaying and neutering. Thus, we have created two very innovative spay/neuter programs which include a Free-Roaming Cat Trap/Neuter/Vaccinate/Return program and a Community Spay Neuter Program to help low-income pet owners get routine veterinary care and spay/neuter for their pets. Last year, these two programs changed the lives of more than 500 animals and prevented thousands of unwanted litters of puppies and kittens.
Please help us reach our donation goal of $15,000 in the 2010 Great Human Race so that we can continue to help the animals who need us. Remember, there are no paid positions within IAR, so 100% of all donations go directly toward animal care and rehabilitation, and no contribution is ever too small!
These are a few ways your donation can help:
$25 will provide a litter of kittens with a warm, dry bed and feed them for a month.
$50 will provide a puppy with a series of vaccines to keep her safe, a microchip to ensure she never gets lost and a dozen toys so she won’t chew on the couch!
$100 will provide spay/neuter and vaccinations for two cats or one adult dog.
$500 will provide lifesaving treatment for a heartworm positive dog, and 6 months of heartworm prevention medication to make sure she never gets them again!
Donations can also be mailed to (please be sure to indicate the donation is for the Great Human Race): Independent Animal Rescue PO Box 14232Durham, NC 27709
