Habitat of Durham is a non-profit housing organization that builds safe, decent, and affodable homes in partnership with working families in Durham whose housing is unsafe, unsound, or overcrowded. Habitat builds homes which are SOLD at 0% interest. The no-interest loan, as well as donations, allows Habitat to offer an affordable morgage payment (approximately $520 including taxes and insurance) to families who don't qualify for a traditional mortgage.
