On May 10, 2008, I will be walking 5K to raise money for Grail Family Services (GFS) - An organization I have been pleased to be associated with for a little more than a year now.

The Human Race is a 5K and 10K walk/run for all Silicon Valley nonprofits to come together and raise money for their programs. GFS will have teams walking and running to raise money to support our programs. You may pledge your support by using the form below.

All GFS programs target parents and their young children ages 0-9, and are designed with community input to address the issues most important to the neighborhood. Our approach enriches the child, as well as the parent, and helps them each on the path to success in school, in work, and in life.

GFS is results oriented. Each of our programs is carefully evaluated to ensure that we are truly making the greatest possible impact with your contributed dollars.

What your sponsorship of our Human Race participation today could mean:

• $25 – five new books for our Children's Library.
• $50 – developmentally appropriate toys for our child care program.
• $100 – case management services for one parent.
• $250 – four weeks of subsidized child care services for one low-income toddler.
• $1,000 – eight weeks of literacy services to boost the reading skills of one child.
