Friends of the Children is a revolutionary mentoring program that provides paid, professional mentors to our community’s most vulnerable children. We select children in Kindergarten and mentor them through high school, providing a consistent adult who helps them develop the skills necessary to break the cycle of poverty. Our Friends build trusting relationships with children who need additional support in their lives. By providing long-term, intensive mentoring we assist our children in developing the education and life skills to be successful and positive members of our community.

Join us for the 36th Annual Portland Marathon as runners and walkers hit the course in support of Friends of the Children to make a difference in the lives of our community’s most at-risk youth.
