I run because I CAN run.
I run for my sister who died at 38 from adenocarcinoma of the appendix, my mother who died at 47 from breast cancer, my father who died at 56 from lung cancer.
I run to help decrease my chances of getting this dreaded disease.
I run in hopes of raising money for a fantastic institution dedicated to finding an end-or a beginning-to cancer, through innovative, collaborative research.
I run because I will not let this disease defeat me or my family.
