| Forest Heights Elementary School has 385 students and our PTA provides money for field trips, cultural arts assemblies, class room supplies, playground structures, and other educational materials to enhance our children’s education.
Since 2005 we have purchased 2 new large playground structures, a CPR defibrillator, security radios, workroom supplies and student recognition materials. We also supported Accelerated Reading parties, Teacher Appreciation Week, Literacy Week and the World of Reptiles Assembly. Just to name a few.
Our goal this year is to raise enough funds to upgrade or replace our school’s sound system in the cafeteria. We currently use this system for our monthly assemblies as well as various other events that we host throughout the school year.
If you’re like most parents, your life is very busy. Between going to work or volunteering, taking your children to extra-curricular activities, caring for your home, and running errands, you’re probably already over-extended. Helping your children each year sell for PTA fundraisers is important to you, but you wonder if there might be a way to make better use of your time and get the same or better results for your PTA.
Instead this year we are going to try a donation only fundraiser. Many other schools are trying this approach with amazing results.
What this means is that our school gets to keep 100% of all money collected (minus a nominal online processing fee) and because our organization is a non profit, your donation is fully tax-deductible.
As an incentive we will keep track of each class’s progress and each donor will be mentioned on our “Progress Banner” in the school’s foyer and on the Fundraiser website.
The single class that raises the most money will get a PIZZA PARTY!
The grade that raises the most money will receive an extra recess with popcorn!
