We ask for your support of The Rose DiGangi Foundation (“RDF”). A 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization, which is dedicated to minimizing the financial burden of families affected by brain cancer.
Our mission is to provide patients and their families
with the flexibility to focus on crucial medical care as well as their overall wellness. RDF will
provide funding for immediate and vital assistance, such as paying household expenses and ancillary
medical costs. RDF may also partner with other organizations to help fund brain tumor research.
On behalf of the Rose DiGangi Foundation we are announcing that this year’s 8th Annual “Run for
Rose,” a 5K Run which will take place on August 10th, 2014 in Ocean Bay Park, Fire Island, NY.
Funds raised from the “Run for Rose” will fully support the RDF mission.
In 2006, Rose DiGangi was diagnosed with glioblastoma, a malignant brain tumor. After a
courageous battle, Rose passed away on October 20th, 2007. In her memory, the DiGangi family
started the “Run for Rose” to raise awareness of and support for brain tumor research. In its first 7
years, the event has raised approximately $350,000.
Every day, another 500 people in the United States are diagnosed with a brain tumor. Progress has
been made, but there is still so much that is not known. Your support can help the many brain
cancer patients and their families who are fighting this disease.
The Rose DiGangi Foundation is a recognized 501(c)(3), tax-exempt organization with the Internal Revenue Service. RDF is an incorporated non-profit organization with the State of New York. .
