Big Climb for Patrick
Hi, My name is Jonas Smith. I am a Fireman for the City of Seattle, and am assigned to the world famous Engine Co. 38. I normally participate in the Scott Firefighter Stairclimb in one way or another every year, but this year is quite special. A friend has just found out that his 12 year old son Patrick has Hodgkins lymphoma. The team from Engine 38 is honored to race and raise funds to donate to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society in Patrick's name. Please join us in best wishes for young Patrick and his family through the tough times ahead. Your generous donation will benefit Patrick and many other childern who are afflicted by lymphoma or lukemia.
Thank you for your generous support of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Your support brings us one step closer to our mission: Cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families.

About the Event
At 788 feet of vertical elevation, the Columbia Center in downtown Seattle stands as the second tallest building west of the Mississippi. It takes 69 flights of stairs and 1,311 steps to reach the highly acclaimed observation deck overlooking the city. On Sunday, March 4th firefighters will race up the stairs in full fire gear and SCBA to help raise funds and awareness for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. This year we expect over 1,400 firefighters from 180 departments to compete in the event, once again making the Scott Firefighter Stairclimb the largest single firefighting competition in the world.

This is Patrick Donahoe. He is 12 years old and was recently diagnosed with Hodgekins Lymphoma.
