| On May 4, 2005 our twin pregnancy was diagnosed with TTTS. Our whole world came crashing down on us. After 2 months of amnio-reduction treatment, 27 ½ weeks into the pregnancy, on July 1, 2005 our twin sons were born via
c-section. Alec Joseph weighed 2 lbs 13oz and was 15 ½ inches long. Michael Lawrence weighed 1 lb 15oz and was 13 inches long. They were both very sick and had many health issues to overcome. Michael lived for 15 short days and passed away in my arms on July 16, 2005. Alec spent 74 days in the NICU at Stony Brook Hospital before coming home weighing 7lbs on September 12, 2005 with minimal health problems.
Today Alec is a happy and healthy 4 year old who speaks of his twin angel brother wishing he could be here with him and not in heaven. Your donations will help save a family from going through the heartache that ours and so many other families have gone through. |

| Fetal distress and syndromes affect 800,000 pregnancies per year in the US alone. This is four times the amount of cases per year as breast cancer.
We lose more than 200 babies a day to fetal distresses and syndromes.
With your donation, we can make a difference in bringing hope and changing lives.
