| Thank you for visiting the H.R. Read 5k Run for Fell's n Cells. This race is in honor of the late H. Roland Read, who lost his battle with Leukemia in August of 2006. He was one of the original founding members of the Preservation Society who fought to save Fell’s Point and Federal Hill from being destroyed by the proposed I-95 extension in the mid 1960’s and help create the Fells Point Fun Festival.
This race is in honor of his life and legacy in Fell’s Point and to help promote awareness and support for two important causes in his life, The Preservation of Federal Hill and Fell’s Point and the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Maryland.
