| Greater Cleveland's Indoor Velodrome and Multi-Sports Park |
|
| Our project will bring Olympic quality year-round training for cycling, rugby, and many other sports to Greater Cleveland.
This multi-sports park is the first indoor park of its kind in the world. Called a "Pressure Regulated Structure" it is 350 feet wide, 1000 feet long (curved) and 110 feet high. It costs 75% less than brick-and-mortar; the materials allow 90% of heat and light, reducing utilities costs considerably and maintaining comfortable temperatures and ventilation year-round. It takes 6 months to completion with the track. The manufacturer says it will be one of four innovative Green buildings highlighted in Hugh Downs' upcoming documentary called "Buildings of the Future"
In other words, our development costs are reduced to less than half, and once we raise the funding, we can have riders on the track the very same year.
These Phase One donations will pay for the track, so our first goal is $750K
