| Child abuse affects us all, regardless if we even know of the five children who will be reported abused in just the minute it takes you to read this message. In fact, Northern Kentucky ranks higher than state and national averages in the area of child abuse and neglect. Fortunately, we are not without hope: child abuse is preventable with education and community awareness.
April is recognized nationally as Child Abuse Prevention Month. The blue ribbon is the international symbol of child abuse prevention and represents the blue coloring of a child’s bruise.
