The journey of The Empowerment Institute Project began in May of 2007. I received a very timely message from “Spirit” that a group of healers were needed to merge their energies and holistic talents. Once the group came together, it would offer services to different non-profit agencies. Before I knew it, 11 women joined together. We met every few weeks to brainstorm the idea of offering this program to the Abused Women’s Shelter. What followed is the acceptance of this program to become the pilot project fort the support and empowerment of these clients—giving them the love and the light that they need to move forward.
The project quickly expanded from 11 women to 33 facilitators including both men and women who were ready to offer a variety of alternative modalities. Before we knew it, we were accepted into numerous non-profit facilities and agencies such as the Abused Women’s Shelter, the Alzheimer’s Support Network, Compassionate Friends, Footsteps to the Future for Foster Care Girls, and drug rehab facilities—just to name a few. The timing for this type of program could not have been better. These agencies are ready to incorporate the unique programs that we offer
The Empowerment Institute Project pays the facilitators for their time, energy, talents, and gifts, through the donations made to the non-profit Happehatchee Center a 501c(3). We are an outreach and umbrella program of the Happehatchee Center that allows us to immediately offer programs.
This concept has never been implemented in this area. It has been so widely received that we have been asked to set up programs in Tampa, Atlanta, and on the East Coast. Our main focus is to elevate the collective consciousness in the Southwest Florida. At this time, we will offer 300 hours per week to community service organizations helping shift limiting perceptions to ones of worthiness and possibilities.
This project and our programs would not be feasible or successful without your donations. We will make a difference by touching people’s hearts and souls while empowering them from within. They will learn and gain life tools, that no one can take from them!!
