Welcome to the Emory PA Program
9th Annual Care to Share 5K Fun Run
Donation Page!
This exciting 5K event was started by Emory PA students and continues to be completely student-run, but we need your help! Your generous donation will allow us to give 100% of the event proceeds to three important non-profit organizations in the metro Atlanta area.
In order to support our program’s mission of providing healthcare to the medically underserved, our class has chosen the following recipients of the fun run proceeds:
South Georgia Farmworker Health Project - our collaborative service-learning project that brings together senior PA students, faculty and physicians to provide free healthcare to 1,200-1,600 migrant farmworkers and their families over 12 days of makeshift clinics. Please see http://www.sgfhp.org/ for more information.
Good Samaritan Health Center - a local faith-based clinic that provides quality medical care to Atlanta’s uninsured and underinsured populations and provides volunteer opportunities for PA and medical students. Please see http://www.goodsamatlanta.org/ for more information.
Grady Health Foundation - improves the quality of healthcare services for metro Atlanta´s indigent, uninsured, and critical care patients. Our donation will be made specifically to provide life-saving diabetes supplies to indigent patients. Please see http://www.hwgf.org/ for more information.
Any donations will be very much appreciated. No donation is too small!
Thank you in advance for your support of this very important event!
