Support the Ensuring the Future Campaign to build the early foundation for productive and successful lives. EES will serve 7,000 children of low-income, working parents between 2010 and 2020. The Ensuring the Future Campaign will bridge the gap between the costs of providing early education and state funding which is perilous and fluctuating, in addition to offering special programs. Campaign funds will be used to:
- Ensure that over 1,200 children per year can attend preschool. A $4 million fund will allow EES to ensure its financial well-being to serve families for the next ten years.
- Adopt Families for Thanksgiving and Adopt EES Preschools for the Holidays During the holiday season, many of EES families struggle to be able to provide food and toys for their children. EES brings joy to the children and their families with gifts of holiday meals and toys. The holiday food and toy drives require funding of $70,000 a year .
- Fund Early Literacy Programs. EES’s pre-literacy curriculum creates the basis for future success in reading and writing. Parents are involved and reading habits at home are emphasized. The curriculum and supply costs are $50,000 a year.
- Support the I’m Ready for Kindergarten Backpacks Program EES will launch 700 young children each year into their kindergarten experience with a free backpack containing kindergarten classroom essentials. The cost of backpacks, contents, and the celebration presentations are $30,000 a year. |
