| I'm riding across the US and some of Canada with a pink bra strapped across the windshield of my motorcycle. People instantly know
I'm doing something for breast cancer when they see my decorated bike. This gives me an opportunity to ask for donations
to the cause and to hear how breast cancer has touched their lives. Everyone has a story about a friend, a family member or a co-worker because breast cancer touches one of every eight women.
At the end of my trip in July, I will direct DRUMSTRONG in how to allocate the monies I raised between Carolina Breast Friends and the Breast Cancer Research Foundation, the latter of which is the official beneficiary of the Women Who Ride Conga fundraising efforts. All contributions are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by the IRS. |
