Thank you for helping us drum up support for those whose lives are affected by cancer. Our extraordinary fundraising event is called drumSTRONG™.
drumSTRONG is a multicultural, musical, charity event showcasing available regional and national resources that support people with cancer and those who love them.
Featuring many exhibiters, including both conventional and complementary healthcare entities, together with private practices and cancer societies.
It's a gathering to rhythm. It's the beat of community, the beat of hope. Music truly is universally engaging all ages, wages and stages of health.
Local and celebrity artists are invited to play; drumming non-stop for 24 + hours. BEATing cancer! It’s the planet's longest continuous rhythm DRUM-A-THON.
Full stage is set up for musical acts and a magnificent drum circle (unlike any other!) is featured. The Guinness World Records organization is tracking us. The entire event is webcast; cities around the world drummed with us last year. World class facilitators and players attend every year. Onsite percussion instruction, camping, GREAT vendors (food & drums), fun, inspiration, and uplifting survivorship support available at every turn.
drumSTRONG promotes cancer awareness and education, supports survivorship and research.
Community services includes appropriate programming for cancer health education in schools so that children learn about cancer without being afraid, and to lay the foundations for prevention and early detection. We also organize drum circles and bring percussionists into Pediatric Clinics.
Funds raised are donated to local and national cancer initiatives.
DrumsForCures is a 501(c)(3) and the producer of drumSTRONG. The Levine Children’s Hospital, the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Carolinas Breast Friends, the Health Guidance Center, local chapters of i[2]y (i'm too young for this), The Ulman Cancer Fund, The V Foundation, Blume Oncology Center, The Lance Armstrong Foundation, and others have benefited from our efforts.
