| THANK YOU! Your support will create this special day for the over 2,500 special athletes who participate each year at the Cal State Fullerton Special Games! The CSUF Special Games is "A Special Day for Special Athletes" created for developmentally-disabled and special-needs students from local area schools in Orange County and parts of Los Angeles county who eagerly await this day of non-competitive sports. This event is different from other special games events as there is one volunteer for each participating special athlete who share the entire day together. The day includes a grand welcoming of each arriving special athlete, theme park characters, barbeque lunch, magical clowns, balloons, a live band, local fire and police squad cars and trucks and and a certificate of attendance for each athlete to complete the day. The event has been growing ever since its inception and has created thousands of smiles over 20 years for all who participate, young and old. The games are held on the soccer field of the Cal State Fullerton campus. Special Games Day: May 5, 2006.
