| Thank you for coming to my fundraising site.
On January 9, 2007 our son Eli was diagnosed with Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia. Through the efforts of all involved his cancer is now in remission. However, he will continue his treatment through March 2010.
I decided to dedicate my time and efforts to CureSearch in order to, in some small way, assist the tremendous efforts of those involved in funding Childhood Cancer Research.
In 2008 I will be riding in several Cycling events in honor of Eli and other children facing the daily challenge of living with cancer. During treatment these children under go years of intense, sometimes painful treatment.
I felt it only fitting that I choose endurance events, so here are the rides I have scheduled for 2008: ; May 10th Up the Creek Without a Pedal-100 miles; June 28th-Cartersville Century-100 miles; July 26th Blazing Saddles Century-100 miles; August 23rd Tour de Rogers-100 miles; September 6th 200 Km Brevet; September 28th Six Gap Century-100 miles; October 18th Sawnee-Burnt Mountain Century-100 miles; November 8th Cruisin' in the Country Century-100 miles.
Please give what you can to Cure Search in the form of a one time donation, or by pledging so much per mile that I ride during 2008. If you would like to donate per mile please email me at polkpa@hotmail.com. Upon completion of each event I will send you confirmation of my mileage.
