| Free Concert Series 2009 |

| Thank you for your consideration of a donation to the Summer Concert Series here in Montour County. The Montour Area Recreation Commission is pleased to be sponsoring this series since it gets people active and enjoying music in the great outdoors.
Even though the concerts are FREE to the public, they are not free to MARC. Each band in the series is paid. As a result, it costs MARC between $1,500.00 to $2,000.00 to host the series each year. Our entire county budget is only $10,000.00 per year, so this series has the potential of utilizing a significant portion of our budget.
So far, MARC has been fortunate because businesses and local companies have contributed to the series each year to offset costs. The more contributions we get, the more options we have in selecting acts in the following year.
