This event benefited the 1st LT Colby James Umbrell, Bronze Star Scholarship. The mission of the scholarship is to provide financial assistance for the continued education of a graduating senior from the Central Bucks East football team who demonstrates a positive attitude, constant dedication and support towards the team, and selflessness towards team play. Colby exemplified these attributes and in his memory, this scholarship will be awarded annually.
Colby’s life was tragically cut short while he was serving in Iraq last May as a member of the 1st Battalion, 501st Parachute Infantry Regiment. He was a born leader, scholar, patriot, and friend. While Colby is sorely missed, he has inspired us with a life well-lived and dedicated to serving others.
