| I am so grateful to represent Syracuse University as I have worked on the Light the Night Leukemia drive for the last six years, in memory of one of our own staff, Diane DeNeve-Steckiewicz formerly of Materials Distributions who passed away from this dreaded disease. I represent this role with great joy and work eagerly to fulfill my nomination as a mentor, role model, co-worker, or friend to those that could also find available resources or strength to give to others that may need it. Thank you for your kindness and consideration in helping me reach my goal today.
This disease has also taken two more people that I have also known. The only way I can help is by being involved. I will continue to coordinate efforts with Syracuse University and the Light the Night Team each September which recruits students, faculty, staff, student organizations, Greek chapters, and also other individuals that just want to walk together united for its cure. |
