Breaking the cycle of child abuse for children like Ashley...
13 year old Ashley knew the drill. Her mother bounced from man to man, several of whom sexually abused her and her seven younger sisters, making her the caregiver for her entire family.
Child Advocates, Inc. mobilizes court appointed volunteers to break the vicious cycle of abuse. We speak up for infants & children who have been removed from their home due to severe abuse and neglect and ensure that they receive necessary advocacy and rehabilitative services. Once assigned to a child's case, our advocate volunteers individually assess each child's needs and make vital recommendations to the courts as to be best possible placement for the child at the end of foster care.
It costs Child Advocates an average of $1,600 to serve one child for a year and there are more than 4,800 children in our city that need volunteer advocates. Your donation directly determines how many children we can serve.
