| Chatham Sports Complex |

| As part of the long term strategy to increase the competitive ability of local area athletes we are proposing building a new indoor sports complex. Because of the typical northeast winters we are unable to train year round in outdoor sports (baseball, soccer and football).
The Chatham Sports Complex facility will provide over ten thousand square feet of open turf field for multi-configurations to allow practice during the cold winter months. Youth sports are a critical part of everyone’s childhood and the Chatham area is in desperate need of a facility like this.
Most other communities have or have access to facilities of this nature and their youth sports programs benefit tremendously. As our youth athletes grow into young adults and graduate to the more competitive high school sports, programs, we would like to enable them to achieve their dreams. These young athletes are the future of our community and as a community, we need to support their needs. |
