| Women Build 2009 |

| Women Build is a nationwide initiative that enables women from all walks of life to address the housing crisis facing millions of women and children. Women Build events are held regularly across the country and have helped construct over 1,400 houses and counting.
In Charlotte, home of the country's FIRST EVER Women Build project in 1991, our all-women crews have constructed 11 homes! This year we are constructing yet another "all-women" house and will be moving another family into a simple, decent, and affordable home.
The Women Build project empowers women to participate in Habitat for Humanity’s work by teaching new skills in a non-competitive, inclusive environment of cooperation, partnership and fun.
