| How can you make a difference in the fight against breast cancer?
By donating to the Climb for Hope, you will help us achieve our mission of finding the next treatment for woman with advanced breast cancer by December 2009.
In fact, through the hard work of 21 climbers, we raised $150,000. The 2007 Climb for Hope achieve two major breakthroughs:
1. We sped up research on a vaccine that has shown promise in fighting cancer in breast cancer patients. This vaccine may save thousands of women who are stricken with a life threatening form of breast cancer. It’s being developed by Dr. Leisha Emens at Johns Hopkins University.
2. Through the amazing pr we generated, we found 5 patients to be in the vaccine study. That will help save these women’s lives and help further the reseach.
The expedition climbers (many of whom are attempting a summit for the first time) have made the personal commitment to undertake the rigorous training program provided by seasoned guides and to meet their individual fundraising goals in support of the Foundation’s goal to find a vaccine by 2009.
Please support a climber’s fundraising effort by making a donation on the individual fundraising pages above.
