Running to meet the needs of Chicago
Hi friends! Thanks for considering to support my marathon running...for a good cause! I'll need your prayerful and emotional support, but also your financial support as I run for Catholic Charities of Chicago. As an Amate House volunteer this last year, I worked for the Archdiocese of Chicago, and also I heard stories from my fellow volunteers of the incredible NEED that exists for social services in the gigantic Windy City. Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Chicago is the incredibly generous social service arm of the church that served over 1 million people last year! With more than 162 programs at 157 locations across Cook and Lake counties, they help people of all races and religions move toward empowerment and self-sufficiency. Now that's a cause worth running for!

Team Catholic Charities is comprised of runners of all ages and levels of ability that share two common goals - to run 26.2 miles on Sunday, October 7, 2012 in the Bank of America Chicago Marathon and to raise funds for the Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Chicago. The funds raised as a result of the team's incredible efforts will support our Neighbors in Need fund to feed the hungry, assist the jobless, and house the homeless.
