In 1987, my Mom passed away after a tough battle with colon cancer, and Hospice of Northern Virginia (now Capital Hospice) was there to assist our family.
In March of this year, my father-in-law passed away after a valiant fight with Alzheimer's Disease. Again, Capital Hospice helped in the most difficult of times.
This October, I will be running the Marine Corps Marathon in remembrance of two strong, loving people who made a profound impact on my life. My goal is to honor their memories and raise money to help support Capital Hospice, who in turn supports families through difficult end-of-life journeys with grace, dignity, and hope. |
