| Did you know that not only can an assistance dog open and close doors, turn the lights on and off, help with transactions at the bank or store, retrieve dropped or out of reach items, help you undress, pull the covers down at night, and take the clothes out of the dryer, they also provide unconditional love and companionship. An assistance dog may give a child in a wheelchair the confidence to go to school, or help a wounded Veteran with the transition back into the civilian lifestyle. CST dogs are provided for any disability other that blindness. CST relies on grants, donations and fundraisers to keep valuable programs running. Such as ; Pawz For Wounded Veterans. Assistance dogs are given at NO cost to those who have sustained disabling injuries or suffer from PTSD as a result of serving in our Military. Shelter Dog Program; Rescue dogs are placed in a juvenile Detention Center, the kids are instructed how to teach basic obedience to the dogs. It also teaches the kids responsibility and unconditional love. Prison Pup Program; Inmates, that are now highly skilled trainers, put the advanced training into the dogs before they are placed with a disabled person. CST has been providing the disabled community with assistance dogs for 22 years. To keep CST funded, so that we can continue providing this valuable service we need to continually seek donations. Please help us reach our goal by donating today, or join us at the Race For Humanity! |
