| CanCare provides one-on-one emotional support to cancer patients and their family members from a trained volunteer who has survived a similar cancer experience. CanCare volunteers help people cope with a cancer diagnosis by providing support during treatment and helping patients and their families move forward with Hope. CanCare was founded in 1990 and now partners with more than 100 corporations, hospitals and congregations of various faiths. CanCare is a nonprofit organization providing confidential and free services to anyone dealing with cancer.
Team CanCare has been part of the Houston Marathon since the 1996 marathon season and continues to be a leading Houston Marathon charity. For more information about Team CanCare visit our homepage.
