Cade’s Foundation is a non-profit, volunteer organization whose purpose is to find a cure for pediatric liver disease. We are so excited to be a part of Run for a Reason 2008. Cade’s Foundation was started 4 years ago when Cade was diagnosed with biliary atresia, a form of liver disease whose only cure is liver transplantation. Cade received his new liver at the age of 1. During this time and after much research we found there was no foundation or organization dedicated solely to pediatric liver disease.
All donations are directed to research and educational efforts to find a cure for pediatric liver disease. Run for Cade’s Cause has grown from 1 runner in 2004, raising $7,000 to 10 runners in 2007, raising $21,500. This year we hope to continue this growth and raise our goal of $25,000. With your help we can find a cure for pediatric liver disease. Thank you!
PRIZES
- Each runner who chooses Cade’s Cause as their charity, and raises a minimum of $250 will receive an official “Run for Cade’s Cause” dri-fit shirt.
- Each donor who donates a minimum of $50 will receive an official “Run for Cade’s Cause” t-shirt.
