Caden's Journey ~ God's Glory
On July 26, 2007, a week before Caden's 2nd birthday, our lives changed in a way we would never have imagined. A typical little boy "knot" on our Caden's head, that was discovered on July 5th, was suddenly being diagnosed as Eosineophilic Granuloma (AKA:a bone tumor.) This type of tumor can be benign or malignant and could only be confirmed by a series of test.

We had hoped that further testing would reveal a benign tumor that could be easily removed. We never expected to hear what we were told. Our little boy, not yet 2 yrs. old, was diagnosed with Stage 4 Neuroblastoma. Tumors were located in his left adrenal gland, abdomen, liver, lumbar spine, bone marrow, and 2 in his skull.

This is not the path we would have chosen; it is heart-wrenching to watch Caden to go through everything he has to go through. Caden has a very severe form of neuroblastoma and we would be anything but truthful if we didn't say how scared we are. But, we have got to believe that everything that has led up to this moment was not just happenstance. God has a huge plan and we just ask that He shows up huge in Caden's journey of healing.

Caden's name means warrior appointed by God, and we believe he is ready to fight this as are we. God has given us such an army of support, we are overwhelmed and so grateful by it all. We cannot begin to thank all who have reached out to us through prayers, email, cards, calls, meals, non-tax deductible donations, babysitting, non-fat cafe lattes, etc. Please know how much this has meant to us. We want to thank you in advance for your continued prayer for Caden's complete healing.

"Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see." Hebrews 11:1 NIV

Hugs and God's blessings to you, Lexie, John, Caden, Joshua, and Zachary
